This Grooved Mechanical Tee is used in fire suppression systems thus allowing water to flow and for easier installation. This two bolt design allows for a reliable joint. This system is reliable and faster than other methods such as welding. This Mechanical Tee is used to attach a new line of pipe to an existing one. A pad is included with purchase of this product. The pad is constructed of rubber polymers with a low compressions set properties. This pad helps form a seal as is it placed over the opening for the new pipe creating a leak tight seal. The housing helps insure this seal once installed.
